Diesel Technician / Heavy Truck Mechanic

Candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid CDL within 1 year of hire date, and demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of diesel engine systems with a minimum of 2 years experience. Engine Certification with PACCAR, Cummins, CAT experience desired.

Successful Diesel Techs must be able to perform the following basics: 

  • Power train – including differentials
  • Transmissions, clutches, drive shafts
  • PTO’s and wheel ends
  • Electrical systems including starters and alternators – ECM’s, ECU’s sensors
  • HVAC systems
  • Steering systems
  • Engine: turbo, fan clutches, injectors, cooling systems
  • Brake systems including ABS, Spring and Air Suspension systems
